For self-production of energy, there is an exemption from electricity tax, grid rent, and value-added tax, which constitutes a substantial part of the invoice from the electricity company. There is an exemption from licensing under the Energy Act for installations with up to 5 farm turbines with a total production of up to 1 MW.
